Aspire Issue 24 - Summer 2019

In my role as Managing Director, gender equality is extremely important to me. Here at CPL Training Group we have made progressive steps to ensure that our leadership roles are shared fairly, and we are proud of our gender diversity in our managerial roles. As a whole, the hospitality industry is leading the way amongst other industries, with the rate of women’s salary’s increasing at a faster rate than their male counterparts, narrowing the pay gap. Of course, there is still more to be done, read our entire article on Page 4.

In this issue, we spoke to Ann Elliott, from Elliott’s who has teamed up with other leading businesswomen to form an initiative to mentor and encourage more women to go for board like roles.

Complete with experiences of his own, he provides his top tips for hotels and looks at the things which can make all the difference on a night away from home.
